Covina Evangelical Free Church has enjoyed a long and rich history and is actively looking to God for its future. Founded in 1958, the church began with families of believers in Jesus who were sold out to the cause of Christ. Although a lot has changed in Covina since that time, we’re still standing on the same principles. That is, we still strive to be a family of believers in Jesus who are committed to seeing the Gospel go forth in power throughout our community.
We believe that God’s Word never changes, but God’s world does. So, we prioritize the teaching of the Word of God in our church, but also emphasize how that teaching has practical application. We worship together, not only to reinforce what we ourselves believe, but also to proclaim to a world that worships nearly everything and everyone else but God that He is indeed the only One worthy of our praise and adoration. We pray together because we believe God wants His children to ask Him for good things. We minister to one another because we believe that the work of ministry is not the sole responsibility of one person, but the responsibility of all God’s children. We laugh together, cry together, and simply do life together. In short, we believe we are a family.
God has worked in powerful ways in the past at Covina Ev Free and we are sure that He is continuing that same work. We see God stirring the hearts of people here. We are growing in relationship to God and each other. We’d love for you to join our family. Whatever your past may be, we believe God is working in your present. We encourage you to come join us one Sunday.
